I’m so bored, there is a mini-me in my pants

Tonight was the Cub Scout Arrow of Light ceremony and cross over to Boy Scouts.  It is a big night in the life of little Crazy Man, thus all of went to the pot-luck and ceremony.   Webelos were on dessert duty, and I had big plans to make really cool stuff, but then I didn’t feel so great and life got nuts and I just decided to whip up a little fruit platter.

Just kidding, I made three pans of brownies, but then only took two and left one at home just in case of a brownie emergency.  Someone else made this healthy delight.  Seriously.  Could have eaten the whole thing.  Oh, that and the pulled pork in the bulk.  YUM!!

Ok, so this ceremony tends to be the longest, more boring event of the entire scouting calendar year.  I have managed to escape the torture all but the 2 years our sons have been crossing over.  I feel kinda bad about that, because it is a major event in the scouting world.  I will do better in the future.  This year, we decided to provide paper table clothes, puzzles, coloring sheets, and crayons.  Decorate away, all you bored children.  Curly somehow summed up the evening with her art:  “HELP!!  I AM SO BORED, THERE IS A MINI ME IN MY PANTS!”  At least her big person is patriotic, after all, this is a scouting event, for cryin’ out loud.

That’s alright, it wasn’t about her, it was all about Crazy Man and his den mates.  Oh, and the first chance to have a picture taken of my three men in uniform together.

We are proud of our little guy!

Feels like just yesterday, it was JP’s turn…now we have two Boy Scouts. Let the fun continue!  This is just chapter 1.
